8 Reasons to Attend AHG Camp Carolina

Registration is presently open for AHG Camp Carolina, July 22-27, 2018 near Taylorsville, NC. There's still time to join dozens of other girls and leaders from around the region as we kick off North Carolina's resident camp.
On the fence? Here's eight reasons to attend AHG Camp Carolina:

  1. Outdoor Badges. Each camper will have experiences towards an outdoor frontier badge. These include canoeing, swimming, archery, and either outdoor skills (Explorers) or shooting sports (pellet gun) (PiPa).
  2. Air Conditioning. Just because we're at camp doesn't mean we need to burn up the whole time. Enjoy the outdoors, but then relax in the cooler bunkhouse as you hang out with friends - new and old.
  3. Outdoor Adventure Track. In addition to badge activities, join us on an adventure track which will rotate through exciting outdoor activities each day. For Pioneers and Patriots, these include canoeing, low ropes, zip line, pellet shooting, and archery. Explorers will participate in archery, canoing, low ropes, and hiking. Adventure not quite your thing? Need the Fire Safety or Outdoor Cooking badge? Sign up for one of these great outdoor badges instead.
  4. Be Inspired by Women Missionaries. Our 2018 theme is Passport to Adventure: A Journey of Faithfulness. Learn the inspiring stories of women missionaries who spread the Gospel around the world.
  5. Pool and Lake Swimming. It wouldn't be summer camp without swimming, and you'll have opportunities both for lake swimming and pool swimming throughout the week.
  6. New friends who are soon to be old friends. Connect with current friends! Meet new friends! Girls from 11 Troops and counting are attending AHG Camp Carolina. We have dedicated free/social time to foster making friendships and allow you to just have fun!
  7. Food is included, and we hear the cooking staff is quite good at what they do. There'll be a chance to cook some outdoors too.
  8. Themed Bages, including world heritage, dance, and travel. S&S required badges citizenship and government, and emergency preparedness. Alternatively, there's Engineering, which is just a cool badge we couldn't resist offering.
